almost = adverb

The word almost is an adverb.

An adverb modifies an adjective, a verb and another adverb, right.

But I saw a sentence seemingly modifies a noun, specifically a pronoun.
1. They'll eat almost anything.
Q) Can an adverb modify a noun like in #1 (if what I think "almost" modifiying anything is correct)

And the similar sentence structure is seen below.

2. Almost no one believed him.
