alluding capture vs avoiding capture

I came across this while reading newspaper and looked it up in the dictionaries. It says alluding is suggesting or calling attention to indirectly. I could understand its general meaning, but when it is used like "alluding caputre", it seems to me that alluding sounds like avoiding. So, I googled.
The two warrant officers were apprehended after alluding capture for more than
one hour after...
Ahmed Chalabi, an Iraqi opposition leader, says Saddam is alive and alluding
capture by traveling around the country.
...while he is alluding capture from the authorities.
Can someone tell me the (subtle) difference between alluding and avoiding in this context? Thanks in advance.

Oh my gosh! It IS eluding. I heard that "alluding" from TV shows, too. Now, it makes sense. Google hitcount was only 100 or so, I was wondering why. Thank you, Davkett. You have a great day.

Alluding: making an indirect reference.

e.g. The candidate alluded to the recent war by saying, “We've all made sacrifices.” (example from dictionary.com)

Thanks for another example. I can see that allude is usually followed by "to" or "that clause".
