allotted to/for

Hi, experts! Are both prepositions fine with "allot" - to and for? Thanks

Which one would be better here? On the exam, the time allotted for/to part A is 15 minutes.

Top answer

Little Girl On the exam, the time allotted for/to part A is 15 minutes. Both are OK. I would have used 'for', but that is not significant.
