Allege

Hello,

The author allege that when children are allowed to play on their own, it leads to the development of their creativity and imagination. I feel my second sentence is wrong.
I think it should be, ''The author allege that when children are allowed to play on their own, they can develop creativeness and be imaginative.'' Am I right?
Children would be more imaginative and creative if parents were allowed them to play on their own.
Children will be imaginative and creative if parents allow them to play on their own. Now , it looks proper. Am I right?
Can I use ''allege'; instead of claim'?

Have a grate evening.

Hi,

A small further comment.

The author says that . . . Just a neutral statement

The author claims that . . . Suggests the writer of the sentence may not share the author's opinion

The author alleges that . . . Suggests the writer is very sceptical about the truth of what the author says
