Vocabulary

(all) through vs throughout

Hello,
What do you think is the difference between:
- It was a national holiday but some of the shops remained open throughout/all through the week.
- It rained all through/throughout June into the first half of July.

I think that "all through" is a little more thorough. They were probably open every day of the week. Throughout might have a slightly different connotation.
