All the thing she said

In this Tatu's song there's the following text:

All the things she said
All the things she said
Runnin' through my head (3x)
All the things she said
All the things she said
Runnin' through my head (2x)
All the things she said
All the things she said
This is not enough,
enough (Echo 3x)

I'd ask: what is the meaning of "running through my head" if there isn't any "to be" verb before the gerund?

Top answer

The verb (are) is implicit here.. All the things she said are running through my head. It means that whatever she said is still in his mind, making him think about it.

"Are", the form of "to be", is implied, meaning that all the things she said are running through her head. It is essentially correct to used this form in a song or poem form, typically in fragments.

The water floating by,

The birds soaring overhead,

The children screaming,

Does this help?
