All right?

1) Excellence is born with excelLand.
2) Great land breeds great minds

If you think this does not work, make it work please.

ExcelLand is a "self-made word" that is a patial tone of "excellent" which I wanted it to mean "excellent land".
Failed?

I wanted "Great land" refers to "a great place". Like New York, where many great masters have been bred in the land.

Also failed?

Sorry, I don't like "ExcelLand". Unless you're in advertising, I don't suggest trying to create new words. The English language has plenty of words already.

As for "great land" -- sure! Just add the indefinite article "a" and it makes perfect sense:

A great land breeds great minds. (clear and correct)

Hello Jobb

Unfortunately 'ExcelLand' has 'spreadsheet' connotations, and is probably already a Microsoft registered trademark.

Is excellence 'born', I wonder?

Perhaps:

'Excellence is born in the Land of Lost Content.'

MrP, what a coincidence! Well, I am glad to hear that, although you denied "ExcelLand". But the word is really produced from my brain. According what you said, I googled it, and found there 3,730 hits for "ExcelLand"! Happy, happy, I am happy to see that. "Great minds think alike!" Hehe.

the Land of Lost Content = Eden?

Ah! that would depend on how you interpreted 'Eden':
Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?

That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

(A.E. Housman)
