All over vs throughout

Dear teaches

I was marked wrong after doing a test in which I had to fill in as the example below shows:

My friend’s child behaved really well ______ the journey

A) all over

B) wherever

C) throughout

D) right across

They say it should be C). My question is, why not A)?

Another question that has intrigued me so far:

______ you get your father’s permission, I’ll take you skiing next weekend.

A) Although

B) Provided

C) As

D) Unless

I marked C), they say it is B)

My question is, why not A)? 'All over' is more suited to a physical context, eg He ran all over the field.

I have just learned 'provided' means 'on the condition of', 'if'.

Concerning the 2nd question I also replied with "As" but they said the correct answer is "Provided". So I am confused !
