All my life/all of my life

I've worked hard all my life/all of my life. Now I'm looking forward to retiring.

Are both options correct here?
And is there a grammar term for these words? I think we can call them "adverbial phrases".

Thanks.

Including 'of' is a bit more formal, that is all. Speaking, we commonly omit it.

How about using 'my whole life' instead?
