Grammar

all in one go

One can't improve one's English all in one go. He should approach slowly but steadily to achieve it.

Are these sentences correct?

Please help me.

One can't improve one's English all in one go. One [strict grammarians don't like 'he' here] should advance ['approach' is the wrong word choice] slowly but steadily to achieve improvement ['it' had no clear referent].

I think they will not object to 'you', will they? I know it would not be suitable changing from 'one' to 'you'.

If you start your statements with "you", continue with "you". If you start your statement with "one", then continue with "one". Do not change mid-way.

Thanks, Feebs-- I was not sure whether the one/one insistence was BrE and the one/he possibility was AmE or vice versa. In any case, it is safer to stick with the same pronoun (yes, in part because of the non-sexism movement).
