All having achieved their individual goals

Hi. If I wanted to indicate that they all achieved their individual goals, which would be correct? I think the word "all" in parentheses in each of the two example sentence is optional and wouldn't make any difference in terms of their correctness in this context.

They (all) achieved their goal.
They (all) achieved their goals.

Would the fact that some people shared the same goals make a difference in terms of the meaning, that is, all achieving their individual goals? I hope my question is clear. Thank you in advance for your help.

  • If they all had the same goal, however, use They (all) achieved their goal.
