All day there is no cable/there is no channel-on

Today it's boring because we don't have TV. All day there is no channel-on/there is no cable.

Please correct the above sentence and also suggest me a good version to express the same.

Sometimes we can't see any channels in our TV and only bank screen appears on all the channels. It is because there might be power failure in the cable providers' office or might be at the place where our cable is connected to the hub. I want to spell out the original sentence in such a situation to someone. For that suggest me a good version.

I can thinks of these versions: «TV hasn't been working since morning» «The cable TV has been down all day» Beware: I am not a native, and others may give you better suggestions... : I used the Present Perfect tense because yours is a situation when an continous action (or a state) has begun in the past is still actual by the moment of speech.

P.S.: I used the Present Perfect tense because yours is a situation when an continous action (or a state) has begun in the past is still actual by the moment of speech.
