All

Hello everyone,

Why has "all" been placed after "them" in the following sentence?

If we change its place in the sentence, does the meaning of the sentence change?as follow:

- The best of them all, was Flint. To be as accurate as possible in answering your question I suppose I should say that you'll have to ask the person who wrote it. But if I have my say, I'll say that the comma is there because the writer was ignorant of the rules of punctuation.

  • A single comma between a subject and its predicate is a mistake.
