Hi,

if a bottle of vodka gets you then what happens to you ? 'Gets you' is an odd expression here. Possibly you are thinking of 'gets to you'. If something 'gets to you', it means it starts to affect you. A bottle of vodka would certainly get to me. I might split a few more infinitives than usual.

Best wishes, Clive

A vodka that gets to you would mean that it will only influence you, and affect you adversely but you could still function relatively well

A vodka that gets you would mean that it will completely seize your body and spirit, it will overcome and destroy you.
