air was moving, wind blowing, documents flying

When you switched on the fan, the air was moving onto the documents and they started flying here and there.

When you turned the fan onto the documents side, the documents started flying here and there.

I was sweating in that small room which covered with wall on all four sides and even roof was covered. So I switched on the fan, and wind start coming and It became cool.

Please correct my sentences.
