james doEach LED has a direction.
What? What does this mean?

Do you mean Each LED is oriented in a certain direction, also expressable as Each LED faces a certain direction?
james doThe LED directions are tilted towards the corner.
direction is an abstact concept. It can't be tilted. It's lik

I'm sorry. I mean the corner of the room. The LEDs are placed on the ceiling of the room.

You can imagine each LED to be an arrow. I think in my case I can not just say "the LEDs face the floor" because I want to mention about the "straight down" thing. The angle between the LED and the floor is exactly 90 degree, not 88 or 89 degree. How can I express that idea.

Something like 'the LEDS are directed vertically downward'?

Yes. But is there other ways to say it. I have to repeat it more than one time in my paper. Thank you.

More than one time in your paper is fine. Or you can say 'as previously indicated'. If you try to find all differerent expressions, you will end up mixing registers.

I'm sorry. I can ask you one more question. As Mr. CalifJim said, direction is an abstract concept. So it seems that this sentence is not correct "In our LED layout scheme, the directions of all LEDs are parallel to each other and directed towards the corner of the room" . Can you fix it for me?

I'm sorry, but I cannot make sense of that as it stands, James. If there is more than 1 LED and they are directed to a single point (a corner of a room), their beams cannot be parallel; the beams must converge upon that point.

In this case, I have an LED panel consisting of many LEDs. The LED at the center of the panel is directed right to the corner of the room. And other LEDs in the panel have the same direction with that LED. It's not that difficult to imangine if you read my paper, because I have the figure to illustrate it.
