agressive vocabulary

Hello!

Can you please help me to find more adequate expression in the context:

Agressive (war-like/militant/combative, would be more literatetranslation) vocabulary is here, of course, for the purposes of figurative nature, because in principled negotiation there is no room for manipulation and deliberate taking advantage of the other party.

I'm not sure about the expression for the purposes of figurative nature, too. If you have any other comments on the sentence, I would be more than pleased to read them.

Thank you in advance

Antonia, it's a little difficult to be sure, due to the lack of a larger context, but I'm going to guess: In prinicpled negotiation, combative language of a figurative nature is used because there is no room for overt manipulation or deliberate exploitation of the other party.

Take a look at my attempt combined with some of your suggestions:

Combative language is here of figurative nature, of course, because there is no room in principled negotiation for manipulation and deliberate exploitation of the other party.

This would be more closer to the original. But when I started combining different word orders I realized that

'Combative language is here' is awkward.

Try, 'Combative language of a figurative nature is present...'

What does 'the latter' refer to?

That may tell you how to deal with word order here.

But, it is best not to discon

Dear Davkett,

If I try that I get:

Combative language of a figurative nature is present here, because in principled negotiation there is no room for manipulation and ...

I have to emphasize the thought ''Of course, we use combative language only figuratively because in principled negotiation there is no room for...''. And I don't get that ef

If I understand you correctly, I think this would do it:

'Of course we use the term 'combative language' figuratively here because...'

Yes, you understand it perfectly, and this is it. Isn't it? It sounds good and it's truer.
