Agreement in interpretation of Contract

0Hello, I would like to get some opinions if our understanding to below paragraph in an agreement is correct. (We’re on the Contractor side)02br
02br
01i00‘In case Contractor (with the prior approval of Client) invests a 100T Rig specifically for the project, the charges payable for amortisation and repair/maintenance shall be 50,000 Euros plus compensation (13% of 50,000Euros) and transportation charges. This lump sum amount covers expenses towards amortisation charges plus repair and maintenance of 100T Rig for 6 calendar months 01b00in addition to transportation, rig up and rig down time periods.02b00’02i02br

00Our understanding is that cost of 01b01i00transportation, rig up and rig down time periods02i02b00 are absolutely separate from the lump sum amount of 50,000 Euros during the 6 calendar months; what our Client is saying – it should be included in the lump sum amount. If we’re correct, would somebody please construct a sentence or argument that the cost of 01b01i00transportation, rig up and rig down time periods02i02b00 are absolutely separate. Transportation periods are considered as idle period also.02br

0I read it as your client does. If you wish to exclude transportation, etc, then say so:02br 02br 01i 00‘In case Contractor (with the prior approval of Client) invests a 100T Rig specifically for the project, the charges payable for amortisation and repair/maintenance shall be 50,000 Euros plus compensation (13% of 50,000Euros) and transportation charges. 02b 00’02br 02br 02i 00 0-

0Our contention is that 00 transportation, rig up and rig down time periods are 'in addition to' the lump sum amount which covers... and not 'in addition of.'02br
00We are really lost on this. The paragraph is not that clear, but we are trying to put he vagueness into our favour.0-
