Agreement

Q1. Why is the verb(drives) singular? What is the subject of the verb 'drives' ?? kind? passion and concern with detail?

Q2. Isn't the plural verb(drive) possible?

Q3. How can we determine the agreement between the subject and the verb in the structure 'kind of noun and noun' ?? It is very confusing whether to focus on 'kind' or 'noun and noun'. For example,

ex) This kind of car and bike [is/are].............(??)
