After travelling for a number of days, their dry rations ran out.
In the sentence, is there any problem with the agreement?If there is, I'd like to know it.

Not exactly agreement, but modification. There is an interpretation in which their dry rations had been traveling when the intent is to say that they had been traveling (with their dry rations) and the rations ran out.
