Question

I'm not sure which auxiliary verbs to put in the gaps to agree and disagree.

1 I'm not sure about that.
Neither ___ I . / I ____ .

2 I wouldn't say that papers were irrelevant.
Nor ___ I . / I ____ .

3 We've got over 50 books.
So ____ we. / We ____ .

(a) Neither _am I . /(b) I _am . (Person A agrees with the speaker in doubting the proposition. Person B disagrees with person A, and with the original speaker, but agrees with the proposition.)

2 I wouldn't say that papers were irrelevant.
(a) Nor _would I . /(b) I _wouldn't either . (Both speakers disagree with the proposition that papers are irrelevant, but they both agree with the original speaker.)

3 We've got over 50 books.

(a) So _have we. /(b) We _have too . (Both speakers concur in having 50 books.)

I'm not sure which auxiliary verbs to put in the gaps to agree and disagree.

It's not exactly clear here what you're expected to do.
Speakers A and B may agree or disagree with each other,
and each may agree or disagree with the proposition.
When the original speaker disagrees with the proposition, A and B may each agree or disagree with him.

For speaker B to take the opposite view (and disagree with speaker A) in examples 2. & 3., he would say, (2) "I would."; and (3) "We don't."

Do you have any clarification on the instructions for this exercise?

In all three examples, speaker A's response is locked in by the prompt word (Neither/Nor/So).
But speaker B's response seems open to interpretation, depending on whom or what he must "disagree" with.

Well, in the exercise stands only instruction to complete statements with the right auxiliary verb.
Never mind, because I used this exercise only to ask my question.
