Ago/before, later/after

Could you confirm whether the following sentences are okay? If all of them are possible, please tell me what the difference is between A and B in each of the following pairs. Thank you.

1A. He came here 5 minutes ago.
1B. He came here 5 minutes before.

2A. He will come here 5 minutes later.
2B. He will come here 5 minutes after.

1A: He came here 5 minutes ago. CORRECT
1B: He came here 5 minutes before. NO

When you end a sentence with "before", the first question comes in listener's mind is "before what?".

2A: He will come here 5 minutes later.
