ago/back

Hi All,

Which is the correct usage: "two years ago" or "two years back"? Both "ago" and "back" means "in the past". Do we use "ago" with respect to time? What instances of time do we use "back"?

Thanks in advance.

We say "Two years ago.".

Back:
"Back before the guns were invented, swords were a very popular weapon."
"Go back to the start of the race."
"It is impossible to back in time."
"Parking can be found back behind the store."

Ago:
"Many years ago dragons roamed the land."
"I saw her leave about 30 minutes ago."
"That happened many moons ago."
