Age in letters or numbers?

Hello Friends,

These are the sentences:

1) 500 people are under the age of 25.

2) 500 people are under 25.

3) Five hundred people are under twenty-five.

Are all sentences acceptable? Is it common to use numbers or letters for age?

Thanks,

Jimbo
