How many babies are we talking about? A two-month-old, a four-month-old, a six-month-old and an eight-month-old? If that's what you mean, it's complicated -- obviously, there's not a two month difference between the two-month-old and the eight-month-old.

I would say "There is a two-month age difference between each baby and the next oldest."

No. Did you read khoff's post?

Try this: instead of saying "each baby," say "this baby ......" Would you say "This baby is two months apart?"

"The two brothers are two months apart in age" is fine for grammar -- not so fine for the mother, unless at least one of the brothers is adopted or they are step-brothers!
