Hi,



Which one of the following sentences is better?



1a. Age 8-9 is a good time to introduce it to elementary students.



1b. Ages 8-9 is a good time to introduce it to elementary students.



2. People with their age above 45, please step out of the line.

The word "age" is invariable. It's for singular and plural

Thanks MM. I just made up sentence #2.

I was more interested in the use of the word 'age'. It confuses me as I see people using both age and ages.

Also, don't you think 1b sounds a bit un-natural as what the author is trying to refer to is a range and not those two years.

('Gender' is a grammar term.)
