Online dictionaries claim this word allows THREE different pronunciations, specifically:
(1) schwa-GEI-vee ( accent on the 2nd syllable)
(2) schwa-GA:-vee
(3) Agaiv (the stress is on the FIRST syllable, like in "anti", see the online Collins)

/?'ga.ve?/ is what you usually hear on TV here in California. I have little or no occasion to use it myself. "Century plant" is easier to say.
