I'd like to know if one can say "25% against 40%" in a comparison of values.
For example, "45% of the adult individuals in that community claim to have paid employment, against 50% who claim not to" (let's say the other 5% decided not to give any information or something like that).

There are many ways you can write this, but "against" is not one of the natural ones.
