After the word information can we use were?

Hello guys. I know that the word information is uncountable but in this case which one is correct.
Both information were removed
Or
Both information was removed.

What I mean is, can I use the word were after information?

Thank you

Hi Clive, thank you very much. I still have a doubt with a similar issue if you guys from the forum do not mind.
For example if I write about a helmet, which one is correct:
Both weight and size information are available on the box
Or
both weight and size information is available on the box
?
Thank you again

Hi,

That's different because you are using an adjective to differentiate the information.
Say 'Both weight and size information are available on the box'.

Or you could say
eg 'Information on both weigh
