After

Hi!

I thought that the word "after" had the meaning of something following something in time or in place.

But it seems to mean something else here: "Repeat after me"

Does it mean that I should repeat whatever he said only after he has said it?
Or it means that I should say it at the same time with him?
Or it means that I should say it just like him?

I also found "after" in this context: "After Einstein et al. (2000, p. 200), we can say that..."

Is this correct? Does it mean "According to"?

Thank you very much!

Thank you fivejedjon!

I still need help with my other question.

Can "after" be used in a quoting context: "After Einstein et al. (2000, p. 200), we can say that..."

Is this correct? Does "after" stand for "According to"?

Thanks again for any help.

It's correct. I take it to mean, "Following the example of Einstein", "In the manner of Einstein", but the specific sentence that follows might change my opinion on that.
