Vocabulary

affiliation, subordination, what else?

What is the right way to briefly indicate affiliation/subordination of several organizations to diverse governmental, ministerial, etc. bodies (e. g., archives to the Archives Department, museums to the Ministry of Culture, etc.) Does the following sound English and is it understandable? Cultural organizations of diverse institutional affiliation / origin. Does the word intercommunal suit here at all? The context of the phrase is the following: a new methodology has been developed for interaction of those institutions during the implementation of a digitization project, the focus is on their subordination to different superior bodies
