Affect or effect

Merry Christmas everyone,

I had been writing something about the negative impacts on globalization, when I got stuck. I had planned out some heads, two of which are "Affect on small producers" & "Affect on workers". I feel that Effect should be used instead of Affect, and I am so confused. Please help me out. How do I prevent myself from getting confused and what is right in this case?

A very hearty thanks in advance.

"effect" as a verb is certainly much less common than "effect" as a noun or "affect" as a verb, but I would not call it "weird".
