Advise a cd

what cd would you advise to someone to listen it?

I mean new or old cd

the first album I want to advise is a janis joplin's greatest hits...there are many nice songs
i didn't know janis joplin till one two weeks ago, but now i like her music very much

some songs sounds like led zeppelin, other songs are different...her voice is beautiful
