advertisement in OR advertisement from?

Hi there,
could anybody help me? Which version is correct:

I am responding to your advertisement in "The Guardian"
OR
I am responding to your advertisement from "The Guardian"

Hi, I wouldn't say either is wrong, but I'd say 'in'. 'From' sounds a bit to me like 'I tore it out of the newpaper'. Clive

Hi,

I wouldn't say either is wrong, but I'd say 'in'.

'From' sounds a bit to me like 'I tore it out of the newpaper'.
