He was educated privately or He was privately educated.

The question was:
Did the Prime Minister's son go to a comprehensive school? - No, he was .... (He had a private education).
I think they mean he was educated at home.

I doubt it. Such people usually go to a private school, ie one that the parents have to pay for.
