adverbial clause and comma

As far as I know, when an adverbial clause is used in front of a main clause, a comma is needed. But reversed, there is no need to use a comma, I suppose. How about the sentence below?

Gorillas are quite animals, even because they are able to make about twenty different sounds.

Though an adverbial clause follows a main clause, a comma is used. Could you tell me the reason why?
