adverb usage

I'm supposed to write some sentences, then highlight any words I used that are functioning as adverbs, then write what words the adverbs are modifying. I have a few I'd appreciate someone double-checking to make sure I did this right. Thank you...

Never had I heard such a long commencement address. (adv. = never, modifies heard; such, modifies long)

Janice is always very prepared for her seminars. (adv. = always, modifies very, very, modifies prepared)
