Adverb placement

Hi!

I'm having trouble deciding where to place the adverb ‘‘someday’’ in this phrase:

[Someday] I really hope to find what I'm looking for.
I really hope to find what I'm looking for [someday].
I really hope to [someday] find what I'm looking for.

Are they all correct? The last one sounds a little odd to me 'cause the adverb comes right after the preposition ‘‘to’’. What do you think?

Also, what's the difference between ‘‘I hope to find’’ and ‘‘I hope I find’’?

1 [Someday] I really hope to find what I'm looking for.
2 I really hope to find what I'm looking for [someday].
3 I really hope to [someday] find what I'm looking for.

1 is OK, but not the best.
2 is the best.
3 is not possible.

This is essentially what I typed for my original response. Somehow, however, when I have a space between lines the lower part gets cut off at times. I should proof more carefully.

Hmm. I wonder why. I put spaces between lines without seeing this. But not an editor problem?

Yes, but it won't after you've developed a more refined feel for the nuances of the English language!
