Adverb or Adjective

Hey!
I have been living in the Us for quite some time now. My english improofed significantly since I got here. I have been browsing through this forum lately and that really helped to answer some of the questions I had.
Here is one I was unable to find an answer for.
Do you say:

Buying shoes is more important. or
Buying shoes is more importantly. ?

Please explain if possible.

I know this sounds like a really easy question and I know that I should know it.
I usually say 'buying shoes is more important' but today I did read some articles about adverbs and now I'm not so sure anymore.

I'm really looking foreward to reading your replies.
Thank you!!
