Hi Zazzex, Much to my dismay, the adverb "lovelily" actually appears in some dictionaries. However, I have never heard anyone use that word. Never.

  • Never.
  • Instead, people generally use this format: "in a lovely way/manner" It is possible to use the same format for friendly and deadly.
  • For example: "in a friendly way" "in a deadly manner" Trying to use "lonely" adverbially (no matter what the format) seems unlikely to me.

What if someone asks you, "How are you doing today?" and you want to answer with "lovely" in adverb form?

Why would you want to answer that way (lovelily) when the previous verified reply already implies that it sounds ridiculous?
