Adverb + infinitive use

Greetings and salutations,

I have a question about the use of an adverb in combination with an infinitive. For example in the following sentence:

It is an illusion that has to gradually dissolve.

Is this correct, frowned upon or completely incorrect?

Thanks.

There are probably a few diehard prescriptivists who would object, but most people today find it acceptable.
