Adverb describe the verb or the adverb describing the verb

Hi, small quandary here. Here is the sentence: "School will dismiss early Friday for a teacher's workday."

Why should early be diagrammed under will dismiss instead of Friday?

Thanks a ton!

Friday is always at the same time — between Thursday and Saturday. There are no early Fridays or late Fridays. School [will be dismissed early] for a teacher's workday — on Friday.
