Advantages and disadvantages of the parents' absence to children in a family

Opposing to in the past, it was common that the father would go to work and the mother would stay at home to take care their children; These days, in many countries, both of parent decide go out to earn money. While this shift will bring lots of benefits for their family, the drawbacks are undeniable; Therefore, I am about to analyse it and give my opinion.Children who have parents going out to work are benefited in not only physical but also mental. The first advantage is that the parent will have more money to enhance their family's quality of life. For example, beside the necessary daily payments, the parent will be able to save an amount of extra money for their children' future or foreign travel. The second benefit is with the parent's absence, children will have to become more independent, which is essential when they are mature. The children will learn how to take care for themselves, how to cook or do the housework. However, the absence of parents in a family also offer some demerits. First of all, the lack of parental supervision is obvious. As a consequence, children will easily trap in many social ills such as illegally drug use, video games addiction,etc.. Last but not least, it also affects on children's behaviour as well as their feeling. For instance, when the children have some trouble, they have no one to share or call for support. In my opinion, there are both of merits and demerits of the parents' absence in a family. However, before decide to go out for work, it is advisable for parents to consider carefully, they have to guarantee that their children will have enough life quality as well as parental care.
