Advanced Plurality Questions

Hello,

I got plurality questions.

Q1. What does the following mean?

"citizens with a religion"

A. Citizens Each of whom has a religion (one is a buddhist, another is a christian, the third is a islamist and so on)

B. Citizens all of whom collectively has the same one religion (everyone is either a buddhist, a chrisitan, or an islamist)

C. If it can mean something else, please describe. ________

Q2. If I want to mean option A without confusion, how should I say?

Q3. If I want to mean option B without confusion, how should I say?

Q4. What does "citizens with religions" mean ?

As for Q2 when I don't know what specific religion they have, I cannot say "Islamic citizens," in this case what can I say instead?

This is my 2 cents which you may take or leave.

First, when you post a question, please provide adequate context so that we can have something to attach your question to. Sentence fragment is hard to be defined sometimes. So "Citizens with a religion", based on the fragmented context, I'd venture to say that it meant "people with their own faith". X citizen may have a different religion
