The word "adorable", it can be used to describe things and person?

How do you think about the following sentences? Are they correct?

1. She is adorable.

2. This sofa is so adorable.

They're both possible, but inanimate uses like #2 can sound a bit cutesie. I cannot imagine a man saying #2, for example (except perhaps in a deliberately camp way).
