I am a fashion fanatic who is both creative and precise. Two important qualities to make it in the fashion industry.
why I'm interested in fashion
My interest in fashion began when I was 12 years old. It was that summer before I would attend jr high that fall. I remember that summer thinking how I wanted to make lots of friends and be some what popular. The way I would do that would to go back to school with a new look. I found a pair of jeans and made a mini purse. I remember having some of my friends over and the biggest critic of them all commented on how creative I was she liked the purse. I loved the compliments and to see how others looked at my work. I still have that purse today to remind how it all began. I dream of seeing my creations on the runway. To see them on individuals around the world. I want the world to be my gallery and the people my canvas for my art work.
Tell about the bags I make
In high school it was always important to keep up with the trends. I was always the one who dared to be different. I wanted to stand out and show my own individuality. So I stopped shopping where everyone else did. I started creating my own handbags and accessories. Not to long after that I got many request from friends. They all liked my work it was different and couldn't be found in stores. I soon began making diaper bags to give as baby shower gifts. It was a great hit for the moms to be because the bags were more personal.
My future goals- finish school and open up own store
In the future, after completing school I plan to open a store of my own. I will specialize in children and teenagers wear and accessories. I want to a stylist that helps co-ordinate the clothes, jewelry, and accessories. I believe in myself and have self-confidence, but also have realistic goals to make my dreams my future.
