Adjectives modifying adjectives

Hi,

I just wrote this string, and wonder if it's okay.

There are no current confirmed dead threads remaining.

I can't remember what the concensus was on this sort of thing.

My intention is that each adjective modify the phrase which follows it, not just the single word which follows it.

(As a famous man once said, "I didn't want to fix it.")

Thanks, - A.

They do that, I think. If they didn't, there would be commas: The battered, crippled sailor . Any set of multiple adjectives signals potential trouble though; it generally warrants recasting to help matters out.

Shouldn't it be "currently"?

You're probably right, Jim, but I was hoping to avoid that, believing it would mean "currently confirmed." I'll admit it sounds better.
