Adjectives' comparative and superlative forms

Hi all,

Some adjectives are in the comparative form using -er/-est, some other ones are that way using more/most. And there are few ones with both forms like "common". But the question is, apart from those few ones, is it possible to use more/most for those adjectives that use the -er/-est from for the comparative/superlative form?
