Hi,
Can anyone please help me by explaining why you use an adjective in the first sentence and an adverb in the second.
1, The fact is easy to describe.
2, The fact is easily described.

"easy to describe" (an adjectival phrase in which the head of the phrase "easy" is modified by a non-finite clause "to describe) is an adjectival complement in that sentence and refers back to the subject, i.e. "The fact".
