I know the definition of N. phrase and Adj. Phrase but here are some examples.
1-The very difficult test made me tired.
2- He is wearing a very nice red shirt.
In example (1) the very difficult test is a noun phrase functioning as a subject of the sentence and the head noun is "test", but is "the very difficult" considered as an adjective phrase, too?!
The same thing for example 2: " a very nice red shirt" Noun phrase as an object and " a very nice red" adjective phrase?
Is that correct or not? Thank you for the time.
[1] The very difficult test made me tired. [2] He is wearing a very nice red shirt. In [1] the very difficult test is an NP, which contains the AdjP very difficult as modifier of test.
